I was born in Brazil and have lived in Argentina, Uruguay, and now Italy, where I’m currently based. My relationship with creativity began early: I grew up surrounded by paint, drawings, cameras, and stories. I studied Fashion Design, worked as a costume designer for more than ten years, and along the way allowed myself to be transformed by other fields such as neuroscience, personal development, motherhood, and moving between countries. Like in a good narrative, all these experiences intertwine. Each phase added a new layer to the way I observe the world and tell stories.

My shift toward illustration happened in Italy, when I created an illustrated book as a birthday gift for my son. What began as an affectionate gesture became a professional direction. Self-taught, I immersed myself in the world of children’s books, devoured books, courses, and references that expanded my horizons, and realized that my path wasn’t just to illustrate but to write and illustrate my own stories.

As the saying goes, if asking can take you far, it took me all the way to Bologna. I set a personal goal to create a book and arrived at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair with the dummy of my first project under my arm. There, I found a welcoming industry, rich exchanges with professionals from around the world, and the confirmation that there was space for my voice.

My work explores belonging and the search for a place in the world, even when that place is, in fact, an inner territory. I create stories and picture books with a sensitive eye toward human relationships—works that move me and make me proud.
